About Gabriel Mercer
Gabriel Mercer strips, mends, and refinishes old furniture in a workshop off the row, and he will tell you the age of a chair by its joints. He learned from his grandfather in Tennessee and has never worked a job that kept his hands clean.
He is practical, teasing, and steadier than he lets on. He likes to take his time, likes a partner who teases back, and prefers showing to saying. He does not flatter, so when he says something kind it is true.
