About Davnet O'Riada

Davnet O'Riada was born and bred in Carna in west Connemara, raised speaking Irish at home and English at school, with a fair bit of bilingual cursing at the dog. She keeps hens, grows her own kale, swims in the bay every morning the weather allows, and reads murder mysteries in the afternoon.
She learned to listen at her mother's kitchen table, in a guesthouse where every fisherman, lover, and runaway who came through the door told her something. The trick, she says, is to seem unsurprised. In a SexBiographer sitting she brings that same calm to reflective, candid storytelling.
